This sweet little ball, I mean, skeleton of energy has a reason for the explosive diarrhea. Her stool sample was positive for coccidia. YUCK! But at least we now have a reason for the diarrhea and lack of weight gain. So the entire doggie household is on meds as a precaution. She had her first meal today of chicken and rice and will continue on that for the next week in order to help her tummy rest.....she's not complaining at all! Once she's back on her food, I will then start a slow switch from the NB Ultra to Taste Of The Wild (TOTW) Pacific Stream.
In the past couple of days, we've started taking a daily walk around the block in order to get Echo used to the leash. She is not a puller and watches me constantly to see where I'm going. Once her energy is calmed, I foresee a dog super easy to train!!

The past couple years every puppy that's come into the local rescues has had coccidia. It smells as bad as parvo but there's no vomiting and they don't die of coccidia (since it's so treatable). It will be great to see Echo at full strength!
love & wags,

she is so beautiful!
Shilo had her first walk this week too... more an amble...
Hope the meds kick in and her tummy settles... dog poos bad enough to clean up let alone diarrhea...
Mitch came to us with tapeworms. Drondal fixed him up like new and he started to gain weight! Hang in there, Echo! Help is on the way for you!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
I am so glad you got to the bottom of it and now you will be able to get some weight on her.
I'm sure you've heard of this, but just in case- pumpkin and plain yogurt are great for upset stomachs, too. Plus they are yummie :)
She is so cute! Hope the meds go over well.
